How do I build out a workflow in a project management software?

By Rich Peterson on April 19, 2019

Further details of question: I’ve been looking for an expert in a *cloud based* project management software (Trello, Monday.com, or equivalent) to build out a workflow for me and my team.  We build and sell furniture and we want a workflow that can set internal deadlines, increase accountability, and keep things running smoothly. What type of platform should I use?

Answer: It’s interesting to look at the best software for manufacturing as you need it to be accessible to workers on the production line and I’d recommend you speak to your Systems Adviser to discuss the best combination of features to keep track of your production schedule. Choosing software for manufacturing needs to take into account factors like whether you want to update the client throughout the process (manually or automatically) for custom orders, whether you want to track advanced metrics like time in each stage and whether you want to incorporate quality control in the process. By focusing in on the parts of the process that can create the highest ROI, you can ensure that the system will help you reduce the admin in providing staff updates, management reporting and client communication.

With the rise of self-service booking platforms, like Acuity, people are able to automate their weekly sales meeting bookings but often not in the most efficient way. You might have a full calendar with appointments zig-zagging across town and no travel minimisation strategies in place. One strategy that we recommend to clients is to set …
