Why be a Weebly Designer in Australia?

By Rich Peterson on November 17, 2016

I recently put together a short course on all the top hosted website builders that you can use to develop your website. The main reason for creating the course was to save people time in evaluating the hundreds of options for developing an easy-to-manage website.

Some of my main findings were:

    • You often have to compromise on what you want. It might be the cost of the website builder, the design you want vs the skills you have, whether the site looks good on mobile, who will be doing the website updates etc
    • Done is better than perfect. More than half of the top hosted website creators would adequately tick the boxes of most small businesses in Australia. Professional, easy to navigate, easy to update, reliable uptime, a good selection of themes and the ability to add custom code (to link up other apps). Creating something that is 95% of the way there is better than having an expensive, complex, out-of-date website.
    • The cost of building a professional website continues to drop whilst, like the Apple App Store, the price of multiple website add-ons continues to increase costs. Knowing which add-ons really add value is the key.

Out of the top website software, why did we choose to be professional Weebly Designers? It all comes back to done being better than perfect. Having a website created is only one part of the process. We ensure that your staff are trained to update the site, we help to embed code into your site to add features and we make sure it’s hard for you to break. We also ensure you’re not paying thousands for a developer who charges upfront and leaves you with a complicated mess.

Enough about what we do. Let’s talk about what your business needs to ensure your website looks professional and gets updated.

    About

For the past 10 years, we’ve worked with hundreds of clients and tens of thousands of students to help them get a clear picture of how to systemise their business. We’re not fans of spam, cheap mass-marketing tactics or automating your business to within an inch of it’s life. We are fans of a customer experience where humans deal with humans, skills are appreciated, personality is maintained and where clients get more value than they expected. We’re also fans of automating any process that doesn’t deliver client-facing value in a simple, easy-to-maintain way.

In a nutshell, we provide advice, implementation support & training to small to medium, service-based businesses to help them deliver a better customer experience & a more automated workflow. Everyone on the same page, moving in the same direction with a clear picture of who does what.

But I don’t think like that!

You might be absolutely convinced that you’re not a systems thinker. That you’re not the systems guy. That you’re more of a free-thinking entrepreneur who leaves systems thinking up to the geekier members of the team. You write notes on paper, you’re swamped with emails and your work gets done, not perfectly but at least …

      Generosity tied to value

I’ve been experimenting with value-pricing in my freelancing work and have had my perceptions of value-based pricing turned around after listening to over 6 hours of podcast episodes.
